This past week, the United Kingdom revealed a £6.35 million package which has secretly aided Ukrainian cyber defensive capabilities against Russian hackers. This comes in the wake of Iran’s announcement to supply ballistic missiles for Russia’s use in Ukraine.

Recently disclosed to the general public, the package has constituted working with industry officials and companies to ensure necessary measures be put in place to defend Ukrainian cyberspace. Despite the Russian government dismissing any cyber attacks against Ukraine, relentless evidence continues to conclude Russian involvement.

Not only do these attacks demonstrate Russian signatures, but notable ‘independent’ groups such as Killnet are linked to several DDoS attacks against public and private Ukrainian institutions.

Russia’s attack on Ukraine is not limited to its horrific land invasion. It has also persistently attempted to invade Ukraine’s cyberspace, threatening critical information, services and infrastructure.
